An impressive large fern, Woodwardia fimbriata has long, arching bright green fronds up to around 100 cm long in the UK (slightly longer in very mild areas).

Best suited to damp, sheltered areas in dappled to heavy shade and will grow in acid soils.

Position: Light, dappled or heavy shade.
Soil: Moist, fertile soil. Will grow well in acid soils.
Hardiness: Somewhat Hardy. Avoid planting in cold, exposed areas.
Rate of Growth: Moderate.
Habit: Woodwardia fimbriata grows to be a medium to large, clump forming fern.
