A popular small shrub with masses of tasty large fruit in late summer. The leaves are dark green, turning red and orange before falling in autumn.

The berries can be eaten fresh or used in baking, stewing or making pies. 

Excellent border shrub or ideal for growing in a large container with ericaceous compost.

  • Soil: Moist or well drained, acid soil.
  • Hardiness: Hardy.
