A fabulous, small and slow growing Mahonia with eye-catching purple-red flowers which was first introduced to the United Kingdom by Roy Lancaster in 1980. The underside of the long, graceful leaves are chalky white and Mahonia gracilipes has delightful, purple-red flowers with creamy-yellow centers in late summer or autumn rather than spring (the more traditional flowering time for Mahonia).

Mahonia gracilipes is a lovely, interesting and rare garden plant.

This plant is grown from seed collected from the specimen in our arboretum and when more saleable plants are ready we relist this for sale.
