Hamamelis vernalis 'Amethyst'
An unusual winter flowering shrub with masses of lightly scented, lavender-purple flowers in late winter and early spring.
The new foliage is a usually bronze tinted when it appears in spring, turning green later in the year as it ages and then showing striking red, orange and yellow autumn tints.
Hamamelis vernalis 'Amethyst' is a deciduous shrub or eventually very small tree with flowers that give excellent late winter interest.
Best in a position with good drainage.
