Coniogramme emeiensis is an unusual semi-evergreen fern native to China with handsome handsome variegated green and yellow leaves. Lush clumps of foliage once established.. 

Most suited to a sheltered position in partial or heavy shade in damp (but not waterlogged soils). May loose some leaves in cold winters and may require protection in severe cold spells. Not suitable for windy, open areas.


  • Position: Light, dappled or heavy shade.
  • Soil: Moist, fertile soil.
  • Hardiness: Reasonably hardy. May require protection in severe winters.
  • Rate of Growth: Moderate.
  • Habit: Cyrtomium devexiscapulae  grows to be a small to medium sized clump forming fern.
    • Height: up to 60 - 80 cm (2 - 2 1/2 ft)
    • Spread: up to 60 cm (2 ft)
