Betula pendula 'Spider Alley'

A new and eye-catching introduction, Betula pendula 'Spider Alley' is an unusual small tree with twisted, spidery branches and silver bark when young, developing classic dark fissures once established.

The best shape will be seen when planted in a fairly open, sunny position.

• Soil: Any reasonably well drained fertile soil.
• Hardiness: Hardy.

• Habit: Small, fairly upright tree with twisted, contorted branches.

• Notes: Please be aware that the immature bark of Betula pendula 'Spider Alley' is bronze-brown in colour and it can take 1 - 3 years for the bark to start turning white.
