New to us, Berberis thunbergii 'Summer Sunset' is a handsome compact shrub with golden-yellow leaves which turn lovely shades of purple, orange and bronze in autumn before falling. Dainty yellow flowers appear on the branches in spring.

Berberis thunbergii 'Summer Sunset' is will have its best display of golden foliage if planted in a sunny position and can be grown in a large container. In shade the leaves will turn more of a lime-green in colour
